Chinese leaders have made the passage of a cybersecurity law a priority for this year, despite protests from the U.S. against the country's growing restrictions on technology firms. Zhang Dejiang, chairman of the standing committee of China's National People's Congress, said in a work report Sunday (8 March 2015) that formulating laws for cybersecurity, antiterrorism and national security were major tasks for 2015. The cybersecurity law, which official media had previously disclosed was in the works, is still being drafted. Details haven't been announced.

In 1999, two senior ranking members of China’s military authored the book Unrestricted Warfare: China’s Master Plan to Destroy America. The book lays out a plan to defeat the United States using a multi-pronged strategy of unconventional warfare that includes political, legal, economic, cyber, and even terrorist means. Has their plan been implemented?

According to Brigadier General Robert Spalding, who served as the chief China strategist for the Joint Chiefs of Staff, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has already engaged in a “stealth war” with the U.S. for over two decades. The CCP has strategically gutted the U.S. of manufacturing infrastructure, including vital sectors such as medical supplies, pharmaceuticals, and computer components; it has flooded the U.S. with illegal drugs (Fentanyl) that continue to decimate communities; it has stolen trillions of dollars in intellectual property; and it has infiltrated and corrupted many within U.S. government, business, and academia, incurring unprecedented power over American life.

Throughout this time, American leaders have been largely asleep at the wheel, or worse, benefactors of this silent invasion. Indeed, many of America’s ills—from failing inner cities to government corruption—have a CCP connection.
